FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2011

Thirty five children from St. Andrew's Parish made their First Holy Communion recently. 25 received the Eucharist for the first time on Sunday, June 19th, the Feast of the Holy Trinity at St. Andrew's Church, Teesville and a further ten on the Feast of Corpus Christi on Sunday, June 26th at St. Anne's Church, Eston. 34 children are pupils at both our parish primary schools St. Mary's in Grangetown and St. Margaret's in South Bank, while one attends Ravensworth Primary School in Normanby. All the children are pictured above with Parish Priest Canon Edmond Gubbins, Catechists, teachers, parish Deacon Pat Thomas and Sr. Maria Varley. And on Tuesday, July 5 the children returned to St. Andrew's, Teesville, for a 'going' forth Mass and were presented with their certificates. (Photos by Paul Terry)

PHOTOS OF THIRTY FIVE FHC CHILDREN

Thirty Five children from our two parish schools have been enrolled on the 2011 First Holy Communion Course. They are pictured with their parents at the 9.30 am at St. Andrew's Church on Sunday, February 6 for a special Mass of welcome. In addition the children have their photos displayed in our churches to encourage the congregation to pray for them.

PRESENTING THE FIRST BABIES TO BE BAPTISED IN 2011

Seven babies were anointed in preparation for their baptism at the 9.30 am Mass at St. Andrew's Church on Sunday, January 16 during a ceremony of welcome.
